When I was a child, staying in the lines of my coloring books was something I aimed for. I would never let my unsteady hand get the best of me. I felt in control. My life felt anything but orderly as a child. This caused me to have various outbursts of random organization frenzies through my teens. During my early teens I took geometry and found that graphing-paper had no use for me in that aspect. Therefore, I found another use for it. I used it to make patterns with one main objective: staying in the box. I now speak as a recovered anal organizational maniac that I no longer seek to keep things overly organized. Do you suffer from AOM? If you do, consider this treatment. My life has spiraled into a chaotic mess. I found that it is more enjoyable to see things fall to pieces for a while and make a greater effort to pick them up. I am 19 and have gained some sense of creativity.
